00000Spacers Glitchers0000000

That’s really what I am this week, got my head in the clouds for sure. I was sick all last week…and I’m still recovering with my nose, which still thinks it has a cold. Anyway, hopefully I’m all better this weekend so I can get to some good music, my last posting I lost 3 times, so as you can tell I was kind of…slacking. But really, Data Rock was really good, I have new found respect for them. Lately I’ve been obsessed with a few things. #1 is the random image generator that takes the last uploaded images of livjournal and compiles them…you can constantly refresh until you’ve had just about enough. Here’s one cooky pic I found on there:

As well, I’ve been interested this week in Mormons…especially Mormon undergarments. They are worn by mormons under thier clothes and have special symbols on the nipple parts to remind them of thier covenant with God…some people call them magic Mormon underpants…you learn something new everyday. Check out this awesome video about them!

I’ve been really into the producer Lawrence lately…I posted one of his songs earlier, it’s one of my favorites.

Lawrence-Wasting A Fall

Lusine-Everything Under The Sun (Lawrence Remix)

That’s it for now…I’m under a lot of stress because I have so much work to make up from being sick…stupid colds…

*for some reason the spacing on this thing is wrong…I tried to fix it 8 billion times, I don’t have 1 billion left in me…

Chills Up And Down My Spine

So, I lost my post because my connection cut out…urgh!(3 times)

Here’s what I’ve done for the past week. I saw Data Rock…very cool. Because it was Valentine’s day they sang “Time of Our Lives” from Dirty Dancing…indeed:

Then I went to Leiden, a town near Amsterdam. It turned mostly protestant at one time… making it a very beautiful and interesting town. I went to the conservatory there first:

look an actual windmill!

Then I went to see Trus’me and it made me super happy…see…you can see my happy face:

The only thing that sucked about that night was I came down with a cold…so I was wondering if it was this song or the cold that made me have chills up and down my spine:

Young and Company-I Like (What You’re Doing To Me)

Being sick all day allowed me to find this weird gem. They were popular in 1992, and you can instantly tell in the video…red hair and a silver jacket.

What’s Wuv Got To Do With It?

Ah, love. So beautiful, so wonderful, so full of magic and so…profitable? Well, not as much in Amsterdam, so I find it cute rather than barbaric. So, because I’m in a good mood now, I will post some cute love oriented goodness. As well, Trusme is playing in Amsterdam on the 16th…so on the slim chance that anyone in Amsterdam is reading this…attend! It’s at the Sugar Factory. Here’s a song he produced, that gives you an idea of what goodness is in store:

Trusme-Good God

First celebration of mushyness goes to this cute animation:

Last saturday I went to some breakbeat/electro whatever mashup thing and I managed finally to get some pics of Garreth and I making silly faces and enjoying chinese take-out box cartoons:

As you can see, we had a good time. What Valentines day wouldn’t be complete without some music to get you in the mood… This is just the thing to spark your flame:

DJ Deeon-Baddest Bitch

And for those of you who are away from your love one use this link to make a cute candy heart card like this one:

One last song I can’t resist…a different spin on a classic!

Towa Tei-Private Eyes

I Wish I Was A Praying Mantis

I’m in a pretty bad mood today despite the fact that today had the most beautiful weather I’ve seen so far in Amsterdam.

Sad me:

So today is devoted to minimal techno…but not too minimal, in homage to the sun. Later tonight I’m going to a dubstep thingy, so I don’t know if I’ll be into it after my little minimal slump. Right now this little guy is the only thing from keeping me from becoming a monster:

He’s not just a little stuffed owly. If you turn him over this is whats inside:

Hehehehehe! Mr. Owly has a hot water bottle in him…how cute! Most awesome to hug right now while I listen to this chill ditty. Who says ditty anymore…I guess I do.

Pantha Du Prince-Asha

This last song makes me feel as if it is summing up the bumingness of the day with the sunshine. It starts off sad, minimal…and exploding into a sunshine of melody. Just like hugging Owly

Poffertjes: Why Have I Been Deprived Of You All My Life?

I just wanted to give all of you a little peek into what kind of awesome breakfast goodies the Dutch have. Normally, before I go to work I have coffee, toast and sometimes a cooked egg. But on the weekends it is a different story. I get to have this instead:

They are poffertjes…tasty little Dutch yummy pancake type things…except more eggy and not dry. They are more like tiny little crepe dough stuffs rather than pancakes. Then they put butter and powdered sugar on them. Yeah, you can understand why I don’t eat them everyday. Lately I’ve been super busy running around working side jobs etc…which is great because I’m making some cash on the side. I’m really excited though because on the 16th of Febuary Trusme is coming to Amsterdam! I was hoping he’ll play this song produced by the Glen Adam’s Affair. This song was the freakin’ hardest to find online…so appreciate it peoples.

Glen Adams Affair-Just a Groove

As well, because of the writers strike I decided to investigate some good ol’ horror films. I watched all of the versions of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which are all good in their own ways but my favorite is the 1978 version. I love the ending…classic scary. Here’s the trailer: Haha! It has a super skinny Jeff Goldblum in it! Also, I wanted to include this little nugget of horror goodness that is definetly an homage to me! Awesome! Yeah, I’m terrifying and I’m always having an affair with the supernatural. A little bit of extra funk that I found to go with your Poffertjes…or whatever you have for breakfast: (God! I love that song!)
